A Metal Cow with Calf Idol is a decorative statue made out of metal that depicts a mother cow and her calf. The cow and calf are usually crafted in a realistic manner, with intricate details on their bodies, including their horns, ears, eyes, and hooves. The cow is typically depicted standing up, while the calf is either standing next to her or suckling from her udder.
This Kamdhenu cow, adorned with different deities, is the symbol of prosperity and vatsalya (love that a mother feels for a child) and is considered highly auspicious for countering the vaastudoshas (architectural faults) & enhancing the overall good luck. The name Kamadhenu came from the Sanskrit root, “Kamaduha”, which literally means, “the cow of plenty” and “the one through whom all desires are fulfilled”.
